A major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise, and consumer technology solutions for the mobile internet – ZTE Corporation – won three Lightwave Optical Network Innovation Awards at OFC 2020. This has clearly shown ZTE’s competency in the optical communications field. The rewards were won by its next-generation platform, TITAN, E-TON solution, and intelligent management and control platform ZENIC ONE.

Suiting a wide range of application scenarios such - government and enterprise networks, 4G and 5G, home broadband, as well as smart industrial parks, while providing the largest access capacity in the industry, TITAN is based on a high-end router architecture and fully-distributed switch. It is currently being deployed on a global scale. This platform enables not only integrates FTTH and 5G, but significantly speeds up 5G deployment by sharing various infrastructure resources including, ducts, equipment rooms, and fiber. Furthermore, TITAN’s innovative capabilities ensure seamless integration of IT and CT, and extension the application scenarios of the access equipment through the built-in blade. Also assuring an efficient user-experience, TITAN offers the Access CDN function to deploy the most-watched videos downward.

When it comes to ZTE’s E-OTN solution, it is their flagship optical network solution. This solution supports the largest OTN cross-connect platform in the industry (maximum of 128T per sub-rack, maximum capacity of 2T per slot, and maximum of 384T in a cluster). Furthermore, ZTE has set many world records in the segment of beyond-100G ultra-long-distance transmission with a full series of in-house chipsets and a unique Flex Shaping algorithm. Also, in 2019, ZTE had created the longest transmission distance in the test on the existing 400G network of China Mobile (600 km).

"I'd like to express my gratitude to our global partners for high recognition. We are honored to receive the awards," said Heng Yunjun, vice president of ZTE Corporation.
